Virgin Atlantic last week took delivery of its first A350-1000 in Toulouse.
The airline is the second UK carrier to receive an A350-1000 recently, after British Airways recently received its first example.#
The first aircraft is G-VLUX (msn 274).
The Virgin Atlantic A350-1000 will start revenue services from London Heathrow from September 10, 2019 on the airline’s New York JFK route.
Virgin Atlantic has ordered 12 A350-1000s, with the aircraft replacing A340-600s in the airline’s network. Deliveries will continue through to the end of 2021.
