Sichuan Airlines, the largest all-Airbus fleet carrier in China, has this week received its first A350-900 leased from AerCap, becoming the first Chinese mainland operator via leasing to take delivery of the type.

The airline’s A350s will have 331 seats (28 business, 303 economy). Although the aircraft will operate initially on domestic routes, they will be placed on international services later.

These are known as ‘Panda Routes’, which explains this first aircraft’s colourful livery.
