Boeing and Embraer have today (July 5, 2018) announced they have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a new strategic partnership between the two companies.

Boeing will own 80% and Embraer 20% of a joint venture comprising the commercial aircraft and services business of Embraer that would strategically align with Boeing’s commercial development, production, marketing and lifecycle services operations.

The intention is to offer a broad commercial aircraft product portfolio, from the E-Jets regional aircraft through Boeing’s commercial types.
